ok...
with all the lore I could gather in my previous post regarding the purchase of a pair of speakers to pair a NAD c320 amp with... I took a walk to a nearby well reputed High end shop which is "Werner". In fact, and to be honest... I was just walking by and chose to step inside, instead of away. Anyway, I was there and my wife was there and a Kind employee was there also...
I blabbered out things as if I knew what I was blabbering about and amidst the blabbering the guy got the point, aimed and fired well below the floating line.
I'm seriously considering the SB as a receiver to digital-out to port files into the DAC of my Playback Designs MPS-5. I was almost ready to order based on Kal's review when I read several negative reviews at Amazon citing very poor performance at handling LossLess files. I have a mix of FLAC and LossLess files, so this would be a serious issue for me.
Kal, did you try the SB with any LossLess files?
Thanks,
Dave
sucks.
not!
i fell in love with jazz and hip-hop on the same night, where Tribe Called Quest and John Coltrane both walked into my life. What a lovely pairing - i'm sure the artistic rap super-group and the sax god would have loved to jam together. I mean, it was Ron Carter playing the bass on their record "Low End Theory" so they're most certainly down with the jazzbos
.
anyway, just thought i'd share my thoughts.
After ages at the local club trying to figure it all out, and taking the wife for auditions....bought a gun.
Had to find one that's legal in Cali and Nevada (Nevada is not the problem, let me assure you.) It/they is/are going to be the Beretta PX4 Storm (midsize, or "compact," but not the little one) for our 9mm and a Kimber Custom TLR RL II with a rail for the .45.
I just know once we start using one gun every time, my wife is going to leave me in the dirt at accuracy....she's as good as I am now and her technique is perfect. She is really a fine shooter.
