What? Ritenour bate didn't work on Jazzfan, so you had to try with this? :-)
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look it up.
Speaking of ECM, my current favorite is Manu Katche's latest album "Neighbourhood" ... or ... Jan Garbarek's "In praise of dreams" ... so much music, so little time :-)
Wes turned me onto Neighbourhood awhile back -- I was spinning it today while working and enjoyed it very much.
OH...he was probably in one of his Donny & Marie moods at the time
Thanks to all for the Manu Katche recomendation. Samples sounded great so I ordered up!
Another tasty new release is Paul Motion's "Garden Of Eden"
Finally getting some "new" jazz influx round here!
Enjoy

You boys should be more careful because you never know when I'm lurking in the background, especially as far as new postings in the Jazz section are concerned.
As for the Marc Johnson's "Shades of Jade" release, I concur, it's a very good and really enjoyable CD with both John Scofield's and Eliane Elias' playing on it nicely done, plus there's Joe Lovano and Joey Barron. So what's not to like?
Heh, I went to my local "jazz supplier" to check out recommended CDs. "Gone, all gone ... " was all I got from my favorite "dealer".
Apparently, local "Audiophile" web portal also gave recommendations for Paul Motian and shelves got empty in a wink of an eye.
They also recommended these ECM albums: Paul Desmond - "Skylark", Miroslav Vitous - "Universal Syncopations" and Anouar Brahem
