to be bridged in the user manual, and there is a warning about impedance dips below four ohms. A 4 Ohm loudspeaker would essentially present a bridged amplifier with a 2 Ohm load in each channel. The GFA 5200 just does not have the guts to do it.
That is what I suspected.
