be the best value now and in the future.
I don’t have audio stores around to audition.
Stereophile has reviewed the PSB, and the Pioneer, and both came out well. You can do a search. Based on those reviews I would choose the Pioneer SP-BS41-LR myself. I got the impression that it had a little better bass, and the overall response was slightly better balanced, though it had slightly lower, below average sensitivity.
I didn't see any unbiased reviews of the Monitor Audio M2 in my quick look.
If you are thinking of resale value, I don't know how anyone can predict that.
The PSB Alpha B1 has had rave reviews from every magazine except the Rottweiler Quarterly, but I would only use them with a subwoofer because they don't go low enough to be used without one.
The Monitor Audio M2 would be my choice for sure, for best sound quality overall.
The Pioneer is not at all in the same league with the other two for sound quality.
I’ve been leaning toward the pioneer speakers. Is the sound quality between the Monitor Audio M2 and pioneer that different? And do speakers improve a lot from year to year??
The Pioneer is the speaker from that group I would not care to listen to for very long. The others are much better-sounding IMO.
Usually no. Speakers are not like autmobiles that have yearly model changes.
Who has Better Build Quality Monitor Audio or Paradigm?
