Emotiva who are based in Franklin. I think you would be satsified with a USP-1 preamp (with a very competent phono stage) and either a pair of UPA-1 monoblock power amplifiers or an XPA-2 power amplifier. These components will make those Revel F12s sing.

You might also want to listen to the Emotiva X-Ref XRT-6.2 loudspeakers before committing to the Revels.
If you decide on the ProJect Xpression III you will likely want to replace the cartridge with something better. The Sumiko Oyster is a bit of an underachiever.
listening to Emotiva from Franklin. A USP-1 preamplifier (with a very competent phono stage) and a pair of UPA-1 monoblock amplifiers or an XPA-2 amplifier should get a listen in your home with your loudspeakers. Emotiva would make those Revels really sing! A USP-1 and pair of UPA-1s would run $1,150 delivered, with a 30-day in home trial period and 5 year warranty.

i would suggest the rega rp1 for $445. then you could get a nice phono preamp like the NAD PP2i for $130. good luck. i also have the emotiva upa 1's and can recommend them as well.
The Music Hall MMF-2.2 at $449 is a better choice than the Rega RP1 as it has adjustable VTA and the Music Hall Tracker cartridge which is significantly better than the Ortofon OM5e. The Emotiva USP-1 has a very good phono preamp, likely better than the NAD PP-2i.
"And as switching to my Cambridge 640P and NAD PP3i revealed, the USP-1’s onboard stage is easily the equivalent (and perhaps slightly more resolving) of these $200 standalone counterparts.", Jeff Dorgay, Tone Audio.
Need some recommendations on cables as well.
Interconnect for components? Not looking for the cheapest or the most expensive...I figure something suitable for the price of my system...midrange.
Power distribution...component like the Panamax or a good power strip?
Appreciate it!
Blue Jeans Cable
Thanks, actually looking at those
i'm a fan of TARA Labs cables.
I doubt the Tara cables for more than twice the price will sound much different than Blues Jeans BJC LC-1 cables. The Emotiva X-Series RCA cables are competent as well.
Strongly endorse the Emotiva recommendation...The company delivers way above its cost. I would add to that...try Maggie MMG's direct from magnaplaner. Last, do not make the mistake I did and skimp on the phono preamp...buy the best you can afford.
fault conditions and should be plugged directly into the wall. A good surge protector for other compenents should be adequate.
I also think that Magnepan MMGs are worth a listen. Paired with a good subwoofer they will compete with loudspeakers costing many times more. And again you can try them at home in your own room with your equipment and if you don't like them you can send them back for a purchase price refund.
