If the NFL were the Democrat Party, Wade Phillips would still be coach.

The other day, Mara Liasson of NPR referred to Pelosi as effective as Winston Churchill was to Britian. Good Grief!
Did you hear that?
Maybe she meant that Pelosi is an alcoholic cigar smoker with a rapier private wit?
I see no similarities.
Pelosi is more of a Dan Quayle. Knee jerk unblinking unthinking partisan hack.
Seriously, what has she got?
Pelosi achieved a lot of her objectives as Speaker. I don't like the ideology she advances, but she rammed the stuff through and over anybody that stood in the way. In some ways, she is the perfect person for the job because of the advantages she has, given the district she represents.
If you compare her to Reid, it's easy to see the advantages she had in being able to withstand any backlash whereas Reid was a liberal from a mostly conservative state and was having to risk his own butt with every piece of liberal legislation Pelosi and Obama sent him.
I would think liberal democrats would much rather have Pelosi fighting for their positions than someone who had to worry about their own re-election all the time.
The downside to someone like Pelosi is that she exposes what the liberal agenda is to the American public very vividly and it repels a lot of people who were otherwise unaware of the scope and nature of leftism. I actually like that aspect of Pelosi's celebrity.
That makes alot of sense. If anyone had security within their respected district and constituents, it would be Nancy Pelosi. Plus, with Reid squeaking by Sharron Angle in the election all the more re-emphisizes your position.

Well, they are different in a couple of ways. Most of the Palin endorsed candidates won. And with Palin, I'd hit it.

Tough to replace Nancy Pelosi.
Those are mighty big eyes to fill.
Thats what confuses me about the democrats. There is vehement hatred for Sarah Palin, yet Palin has not passed one single piece of legislation that confiscates wages in the form of taxation, nor has she voted to enlarge an already bloated bureaucracy.
On the other hand, Pelosi has never met a tax bill that she didn't like, and the democrats have nothing to say about her.
And as far as the Hottness factor... Palin is off the richter scale. Stretch Pelosi looks like the poster child for bad facelift surgery.
