As a long time audiophile, I feel like I've seen more than my share of "honest to goodness real tweaks that will be around forever" come and go.

Examples:

Remember Peter Belt and his tin foil and alligator clip tweaks?

How about quarter sized Harmonix discs that, when placed in a large room, "totally affected the sound" to a greater extent than moving furniture ever could.

How about those disc things that we were supposed to roll along our baseboards to focus imaging.

Green pens for CD's.

CD demagnetizers.

Tice clocks.

One thing that has bugged me recently was the Class B rating for the Paradigm Reference Studio 100v3. I personally don't care if it is rated A, B, or C, but the Legacy Focus 20/20 is also rated B, and there is no comparison between the two - AT ALL! They are in different galaxies of sound quality.

I need your opinions or experiense (if any) on Digital power amps. Especially on Yamaha MX-D1!

Space considerations have me looking for a single unit that combines preamplification with coax digital input(s) or alternatively an integrated preamp/power amp with coax digital input(s). My initial research is not encouraging, but I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions?

It seems to me that, while cables are important to get the best from equipment, they are less so than the other components of a system.
I am running Sonus Faber Cremonas on the end of a Naim 102/180 system, and was recommended Cardas Quadlinks that would have cost me four times what I finally paid for 'Signal' cables that I found on the Stereophile audio market pages, but which I have never seen reviewed in the mag. I wonder why not, as these cables are very clearly excellent and most appropriate to my setup?

There are several online databases of CDs that make cataloging a collection easy. Does anyone know of an online database of classical (or other) LPs that would make it easy to catalog one's LP collection?

My interconnects and speaker cables have arrows on indicating to be connected a certain way. Is this snake oil, hoo doo voo doo, or good audio science?

Two of the biggest improvements in my system came from implementing Richard Gray RGPC 400(2), and the PS Audio P300 to my front end components.

What is your experience regarding products that improve the quality electrical power to your system?

I have a small problem with the equipment reviews that really confuses me. In the stereophile review of the iPod, it states "Download a program ripped in AIFF
