I have a stack of records stored nicely in my parents closet. When I was a teenager, I obtained a cheap RadioShack linear tracking turntable, and a regular Sony model that I don't remember. I haven't been using either because they're both rather cheap. I've been waiting to someday buy myself an entry-level audiophile deck to start spinning my vinyl.

My fiance knows this, but not much else. So she tried real hard, and bought me a turntable for Christmas. On eBay. It's a Fisher MT-730 linear tracking deck. This one:

I recently discovered a Rhythm & Blues singer who goes by the name of Kem ( http://www.kemmusic.com/ ). I've been enjoying his 2nd CD, Kem Album II.

Once homeless and struggling with chemical dependency, this man has since found not only meaningful recovery and spirituality; he has also found his voice and stunning creativity as perhaps the finest R&B singer/musician/songwriter to come along in a very, very long time.

What would I need in order to transfer my old LPs to Cds using my computer?

Is a virtually new Hafler 9505 for $800 a good deal? They list for $2200 but are no longer being manufactured. Is this a good piece of equipment? Would this be a good amp for powering fused Double Large Advents (370W per channel into 4 ohms)?

What kind of data files does xm radio send?
are they mp3 or wav or what?
