Can anyone here provide any information on the Phase Linear 400 amp and the 4000 pre amp. I am looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly if any and all apply. I love the look and found a set being sold locally by the original owner but don't know anything about the quality of these vintage pieces. Thank you all.

I know this isn't an amp question but this question didn't really fit into one of the other catagories so here goes.

I you were building a house what type of eletricity/wiring would you use to power the entertainment system, and why.

I have a friend who is building a vavcation home and said the guy who does the low voltage electricity wiring in the house is doing the A/V stuff on low voltage and I had never heard of it being done that way.

Is this a good turntable? Worth $160 in good condition?

I'm in the market for a new preamp and cd player and have auditioned quite a bit of gear from different manufacturers. One set up that recently caught my attention was ARC's new hybrid LS26 preamp and their CD3 MKII cd player. I noticed that Stereophile doesn't review many of their products at all, and I'm starting to wonder why, it just seems very odd that a company with such a big following as ARC's doesn't get many of their products reviewed by Stereophile.
