For those around the country who do not have easy access to new releases or a top-notch radio station, I can't recommend this site highly enough. You can stream the broadcast and browse the site for all kinds of timely info on music. Seriously, this is worth spending some time exploring. I get to listen locally and the broadcast really is high quality.

As a follow-up to my last entry, I was sitting in my favorite watering hole over the weekend, listening to my favorite jukebox&#15118 tunes for 5 bucks&#150when a couple sitting at the bar next to me struck up a music conversation about what was playing: Elvis Costello, The Shins, King Sunny Ade, Lefty Frizzell, James Brown, Arctic Monkeys, you name it. At one point, talking about the cover art of an album I can’t remember now I said, being the absent-minded old man of the bunch, 'Have you ever seen that record?'

I've written before about how the much hyped MusicGiants "audiophile quality" music download service is not anywhere near ready for primetime and once again they go out of their way to prove me right.

The lastest screw up concerns the (once again) over hyped nonsense about how this little MusicGiants network trumped iTunes and has exclusive download rights for the new Neil Young "Living With War" release. Here's three links to three seperate news stories.
