Help figuring out exactly which speaker these are.

Forums

I have two speakers they have no labeling anywhere at all, except in the front bottom right where it says KSA and thats it. I think there concert/PA speakers, because they go so loud they can drown out my 1000 watt 15 inch subwoofer, and can make my ears hurt pretty fast without cranking them. So can you help me figure out who made these and there specs.

Cartridge Alignment on S-shaped Arm?

I bought a cheapie turntable tonight at a thrift store. Hitachi Direct-Drive[Hey, what do you expect for $3.00? Actully, for $3 it is pretty darn nice.] Anyhow, this has an S-shaped tone arm. If I were to install a new cartridge on this table how would I do the alignment? Would I just use my regualar alignemt tool?

Useless turntable reviews? Why aren't the arms and cartridges changed?

It seems that in most (notice I didn't say all) TT reviews, especially relative to budget units, the reviewer doesn't switch arms or cartrdiges much. As such how can one tell what contribution the table makes? What is the pecking order of contribution to sound quality in a TT? Seems to me the cartridge is first, arm second and the TT itself is third? IF this isn't true what is the order? While I understand one buys an entire package - especially with budget units - it would be nice to know how each piece affects the sound.

Your Mother is a Vampire

Your Mother is a Vampire

I'm listening to Margot & the Nuclear So and So's now. They sing songs about vampires and kittens, mice and clowns. You might like them. Their story is one of poverty and despair and desolation thwarted by sudden friendship, a burst of creativity, and life on the road. It sounds familiar, but then not. They make music with trumpets and cellos and keys.
