Need Speaker Help for Large room that has 20' ceiling

Forums

Guys-

We are looking for help. We have 20' ceiling with a room that is approx. 30 x30. Two Polk speakers with an active base has been driving the speakers for about 6 years. Looking to upgrade. HArdwood floors with a 25x10 oriental carpet in the center with 3 couches in a square and fire place.

Music played. 50% accoustic/25% Bonnie Raitt/Bluesy/ Soft Rock. Parties of 10-15 people are often at residence.

Do not care about Video or surround. If you have an amplifier interested in that too.

Thanks

Doug

High-End Multimedia

I have been in the High-End Audio industry for almost 22 years now,I have had a small loudspeaker business for about that long, but for the last 6 or 7 years my intrest in computers and computer building has sparked my intrest in putting the two together, for years computers have been limited to business word processing and data storage, but with all the latest innovations in audio and video processing the future seems promising for high-end computing especially in the area of multi-media.I still love 2 channel audio, but all of this new computer stuff gets me excited too!!! Any Thoughts??

Love,
Remember when we first met — standing at the bar, admiring the jukebox's warm glow? How I somehow got around to telling you about that $90,000 turntable? It almost seems silly now. The small talk of first meetings often does, I suppose, seem silly. But not ours. Nothing "silly" about it. And nothing small. I don't know what made me think I should mention it — this silly turntable — but, a day later, you'd call and leave a message saying you'd like to hear more. "Fascinating," was the word you used.

MF Tri-Vista: Should the feet of the PSU glow?

Forums

Hello,

I recently purchased a used Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista 300 integrated amp.

The Tri-Vista models have feet that glow (starting out red, through yellow, and finally blue once it's on song).

What I'm wondering about is the feet on the power supply unit? Only two of the four feet appear to light-up at all: the right front and left back.

Since I bought the unit second-hand, I don't know what the correct arrangement is for the PSU - should all feet glow, or have some of the LEDs bitten the dust during transit?

Thanks & regards
