Testing with ETF and checking the RT60 plot I have big spikes at the low end. The mid and high frequencys are around 300ms but the low end spikes peak at around 3sec.
Equalization can correct room mode peaks and nulls but what about the resonance times? Are the measurements accurate? Is this a real problem?

I recently inherited a set of humongous Infinity QLS speakers. They were sitting in my late uncle-in-law's living room since the mid-70s, when he bought them new. They look to be in good condition, albeit pretty dusty.

Can anyone recommend a moderately priced power amp with enough power to drive these? I'm new to the stereo world, but love '70s progressive rock and would have fun building a system. Thanks!!

I hereby predict that there will be a resurgence in classical music listening driven by the upcoming generation! Why?

I just read the list of top ten classical albums in the Philadelphia region as published in the Philadelphia Inquirer of August 6, 2006. Listed in spots 2, 7 and 8 are Baby Einstein albums. Surely with all those babies being exposed to classical music through the Baby Einstein series the future is bright for classical music!
