Please help!

I am setting up my first (non-HTIB) surround system and I really want it to be sweet! Here is what I have so far, I need some suggestions on getting surround speakers, a center channel and sub. I already have a Yamaha HTR-5990 receiver, and 2 JBL E-90's. I know its not a dream system, but I think it could sounds pretty good!

I am just not sure how important matching surround speakers to front speakers really is. any help / suggestions would be great, but I am not looking to spen 10k on this setup. I am looking for a good setup fora decent price.

THANKS

-Must go well with Yamaha htr-5850 receiver
-Must be smaller sized speakers
-about $600 max cost

Good speakers for a Rogue Audio Cronus Integrated Amp

Forums

I've been lurking around here a bit. Thought I'd make my first post. I've been interested in the Rogue Audio Cronus integrated tube amp. I finally got a chance to listen to it last week in Austin (as the only dealer in TX is there). I loved what I heard. I've pretty much decided that will be my next purchase, I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on speakers that may pair well with that amp for around a $1500 price point. The only input will be a Rega P3 turntable through the Cronus' built in phono stage. Any suggestions will be welcome.

America Friendly Music or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Elks Lodge

Earlier this week I was invited to Per Se, a sleek restaurant in the Time Warner Center here in NYC for a lavish lunch sponsored by Concord Records. Co-owner Norman Lear was there. So was former SNL and now Letterman band leader Paul Shaffer who served as MC. The occasion was the release of another Ray Charles project which I will be writing about in more detail in an upcoming issue of the magazine. Titled Ray Swings—Basie Swings, it's an elaborate studio creation. Again though, Look for more in December's Stereophile.
