Some Things Are the Same All Over

Some Things Are the Same All Over

We went to the "audio district" of GuangZhou—in China, all shops of similar character tend to group together, so the audio district is where all the hi-fi shops are. Actually, they're there twice: many store have display showrooms in the central mall and listening rooms ranked along a nearby alley.

Inappropriate Posts

IMO, removing a post, only to repost it in the "Dead Zone," confers on it special status. If anything, more people are drawn to the post by nature of its extra visibility in a category all its own.

I'd rather see posts that go beyond the bounds of civil discourse deleted. That way, the posters get neither attention nor satisfaction (which is usually what they were after to begin with). The posters are of course then free to rephrase and repost using acceptable language. As it now stands, they needn't bother.

In-Wall Speakers for a tight budget

Forums

Hi everyone,

I am currently building a house and would to put in-wall speakers in the ceiling for the living room. In my head, I wanted to put together 2 pairs for Rear and Mid and then some nice non wall mounted fronts. However I need to be as cheap as possible but still retain good sound for movies and an Xbox360.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks everyone!

problem with Technics turntable

When I use my turntable, there is a loud humming, and only one channel works, it sounds like crap to the point now where I can't listen to any of my 1000+ records. Should I just replace my cartridge, or do I need to replace the whole turntable. Equipment details follow:
Technics turntable, model SL-BD22 FG Servo (purchased circa 1995), Stanton L720 cartridge.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you.
