November's review of the Zanden Model 5000/2000 D/A converter and transport four-box system makes my head hurt.

I'm seeing what amounts to a positive subjective review by
Mikey Fremer for thie 45,000 dollar DOG of a system, with
him glossing over flaws that would have had him or other
reviewers ranting and raving about how BAD they would be if
it were many other products.

JA's technical review listed so many flaws and examples of
simply BAD design and engineering that I literally got bored
when I set out to count up the many flaws mentioned.

I've got what I imagine is a somewhat strange question:

I've had pair of Lineaum tower speakers for 10 years or so. This is not the small Radio Shack speakers that I often see mentioned, but a 40" or so model with a six-inch or so Lineaum driver that seems to cover much of the range, and an 8" woofer.

So I decided to start to look around for replacing these, wondering how the start-of-the-art in affordable speakers is these days.

What's up elvis fans? I've just heard that tv guide magazine has a special holiday issue featuring elvis. Infact it's already available in all your favourite news stands. The issue includes a CD w/ a previously unreleased version of Elvis' "It wont's seem like christmas w/out you" and music video signing "Blue Christmas".

So, what do you think guys?
