Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross

Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross

drchilledaire has uploaded to YouTube this fabulous clip of Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross performing Count Basie's "Everyday (I Have the Blues)." A while ago, I was frustrated in my attempts to get a digital replacement for my well-played copy of Twisted, so I thought I'd probably use this as a chance to rant about the lack of LHR CDs.

NEW TUBE AMP BAD!

Well, may first taste of tubes has been bitter so far. I recieved ny V.A.L. E10 Tube headphone amp and it has an issue. It plays fine for about 30 minutes or so then the music cuts out and I get a whine in both channels. I have removed the tube and seated it 4 times. Same thing. It sounds fine till buzz kicks in and the music stops playing. Any idea's? Sounds to my like a PSU cap. Could a bad tube cause this problem? The amp uses a tube for the input stage and I think solid state for the output.

The Funky Way

The Funky Way

A website devoted to exotic (mostly) turntables. Two thoughts struck me: I've actually seen or heard most of these, and I bet if I issued audiophile "baseball cards" I could make a mint.
