NEW TUBE AMP BAD!

Well, may first taste of tubes has been bitter so far. I recieved ny V.A.L. E10 Tube headphone amp and it has an issue. It plays fine for about 30 minutes or so then the music cuts out and I get a whine in both channels. I have removed the tube and seated it 4 times. Same thing. It sounds fine till buzz kicks in and the music stops playing. Any idea's? Sounds to my like a PSU cap. Could a bad tube cause this problem? The amp uses a tube for the input stage and I think solid state for the output.

The Funky Way

A website devoted to exotic (mostly) turntables. Two thoughts struck me: I've actually seen or heard most of these, and I bet if I issued audiophile "baseball cards" I could make a mint.

Saving All My Love For You

Saving All My Love For You

How anyone was surprised that Britney Spears has shaved her head is beyond me. As <I>Stereophile</I>'s assistant editor, the intrepid Stephen Mejias reminded me, she was brainwashed as a toddler thanks to that malevolent mindfuck known as The Mickey Mouse Club. Add to that she's a piece of unreconstructed white trash from Louisiana, who's now been coddled beyond all description and suddenly head shaving looks like the least of her worries.

Any suggestions for Speaker choice??

I'm currently in the market for a new pair of speakers. I currently own a NAD C372 Integrated Amp with a NAD CD player. I'm rather satisfied with my electronics. I'm considering buying a pair of Definitive Technology BP7002 or 7004's. I am also looking at the Vienna Acoustics Mozarts. I'm leaning toward the Def Techs because the Viennas have no bottom end whatsoever. The music I listen to ranges from jazz to acoustic folk (Damien Rice, Rachael Yamagata, Aqualung) and lots of R&B (Maxwell, John Legend, Corinne Bailey Rae). The room they are going to be placed in is 29' x 19'.
