Oh, Eat Some Garbanzos

Oh, Eat Some Garbanzos

I'm on deadline, so of course all I can think about is dinner. Think I'll go upstairs and start some c…; cooking, steam up a bunch of brown basmati rice, and mix up a raita&mda… I'll add some fresh mint, cilantro, and a chopped, drained tomato to that last 'un.

What's Wrong With 300?

What's Wrong With 300?

According to Ephraim Lytle, far too much. I haven't seen the movie, but I have to admit I'm disturbed at the shoddy treatment of Demophilus' 700 Thespians, who heroically refused to withdraw with the rest of the Greek forces, and died with the Spartans.

Opinions on Bi-amping...

Forums

Has anyone given it a try? And if so what were your thoughts. Did you use 2 identical amps (vertical) or two different amps (horizontal). Did you use an external active crossover & bypass the speakers passive crossover? In the end was it worth the expense & the trouble. Just toying with the idea. I've read many positive comments & a few negatives. Thanks

Musical Fidelity product announcement due 1st June 07

Dear All,

The Musical Fidelity website currently opens up on a discussion about "hi-fi or music system" with the conclusion leading to an "important product announcement" scheduled for 1st June 2007, which I believe was originally to be announced on 1st May.

Given the nature of the discussion (the need for sufficient power) I assume this new product will be a power or integrated amp. Given the recent additions/revamps of the kW and X series I assume the new product will be from (or replacement of) the A5 or A3.5 series.

A Little Bizarre, and Altogether Marvelous

A few days ago, I briefly mentioned the fact that our totally radical magazine is also available in digital attire. It was on my mind because Dave Jenne, one of the production dudes at Zinio (our digital publishing partner), had sent me the link to our April issue. Dave sends me an e-mail each month. And it goes a little something like this:
