costs how much. The wiring inside point-point stuff looks like he took a Dyna St-70 Or PAS-3 pre amp and reboxed it. How is using old obsolete parts worthy of such a price? He has 15W amplifiers for almost $3900? Come on 15W? The BLSOE units have more than that, of course this is $3900 15 W, not $300 watts, still worthless ain't it? Tube rectifers in the power supply...you gots to be kidding. Stereophile keeps mentioning how limited space is, why do they waste space on this usless, copy of a Dyna PAS3 it looks like unit, who decided on this price?
Of ocurse it sounds better than the current thing he has, when doesn't it? BUT, he also mentions the use of high CURRENT high power amps...Gee, when I say watts matter, I is crucified.....and he drives large speakers, what a concept!!! The ones under review this issue at teh asking price are a joke, unheard, with such miniscule drivers, at the price, gotta be a joke..hardly capable of lifelike sound.MF also says a $23K pre amp should do everything, weeeeelllll, a $100K should have a pre map in it already no?
Now that Krell has added one to its product lineup, should an iPod dock be considered a standard component for a high-end audio system?
