Now that Krell has added one to its product lineup, should an iPod dock be considered a standard component for a high-end audio system?
Most audiophiles focus on the best possible sound system configured exactly as recommended. But there are several unexamined assumptions when trying to achieve these goals. Sound reproduction, like gourmet food, interior design, musical traditions, and automobiles have always been a matter of taste.
My daughter, Erin, comes down for a visit from CT and brings over 150 used albums. Unfortunately she found them vinyl against vinyl out of their cardboard jackets, most ruined.
I did manager to salvage a few treasures like:
Bernstein plays Brubeck plays Bernstein from 1959 that sounds pretty decent but slighly warped.
Anyone here have FIRST-HAND experience with the new Acoustic Revive RD-3 demagnetizer or the now discontinued Furutech RD-2 [these appear to be the same] on the sound of your CD's ? I owned a Bedini Clarifier [which died] but was never really sure of it's improvement capabilities.
