What happened to the review Stereophile was preparing on this player?

I'm in the process of finding the right set of speakers for me in the <$3000 area. In doing this, I've found a literally enormous set of reviews containing verbiage such as "these speakers are fantastic, except for lovers of electronica or rap music," and "hip hop lovers should look elsewhere."

I understand that electronica isn't the preferred material of many audiophiles. And I understand that from a content perspective, hip hop is very polarizing, and that there are a great number of very poorly recorded/produced hip hop albums.

After a few years of hard work, saving and doing without, the time is nearing when I can get rid of my old Aiwa system and get some nice stuf. I've discovered ebay and have been eyeing some audio components.

I want a system that sounds great for music as well as having all the surround sound stuff for movies.

Continuing the talk of the problems with over-compression of recorded music, I came across this article:

I just purchased Suzanne Vega's Beauty & Crime. I almost lost my hearing when it started up with my amp at its normal volume level! I can't even listen to it all the way through in one siting without getting fatigued. Same with Carly Simon's Moonlight Serenade. Good music, but ruined by the engineer. Geeez, when will this stop?
