I've got a decent two-channel set-up separate from my 5.1 HT rig for the first time in a long while and I am just enjoying the heck out of it! And it's not that music sounded bad on my A/V system, but the combination of a better room and better quality speakers and amp is just blowing me away over and over again. The system is as follows:

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab OML-2 loudspeakers
Adcom GFA-5500 amp
Adcom GTP-602 tuner/pre-amp
Onkyo DX-7555 CD player

If you had it your way, which components would you have Stereophile review before X-mas time?

One afternoon, Temple Public Radio played a couple of selections from this disc. I liked what I heard so much, I purchased the disk.

This is great music from a composer that I was up to now unfamiliar with and who does not appear to be represented on many recordings. It is getting heavy rotation.
