I'm looking to purchase a subwoofer to augment my Sonus faber Domus Grand piano speekers. My room is about 8'h x 14 x 18 or 2000 cubic feet. My listening is pretty much exclussive to music, and my tastes range from jazz to rock to orchestral to - some - folk. I would prefer a smallish unit. My budget can range up to about $2000. I'm auditioning the REL305, and have followed their setup, and while the bass is okay, I hear a lot of distortion at higher volumes. Any suggestions for a better sub for music?
on the 26th of june the owner of tube tchnology told me to post my unisis valve amp down to wales and he would get back to me with a quote,i have not heard another word from him,i have contacted the police in wales and they have put letters through his door for him to contact them,i have phoned his number constantly with no reply,i have now written to the judge in the sunday mail news paper for him to help me.has anybody had any dealings with him or heard of his wherw abouts, the police now say it is theft,i am going to have to buy a new amp now any ideas on a good tube would be helpfull....
Some say the first step in getting good sound is picking the right room for the system. Others find ways for a system to work in almost any environment. Which has a greater effect in the sound: the speakers or the room? Why?
Not a word of congratulations from dup to the owner of the McIntosh tube amp when apiccar solved his problem with good basic thinking. dup only repeated and repeated the same tired old words and tried once again to prove he's better than another forum member. And so it begins once again. That's sad.
You can send this to the Dead Zone now, Stephen.
