Is PSB Alpha B1 the best PSB?

Forums

I see a lot of rave reviews for the Alpha B1's (view Stereophile votes Jan 2007). I own a pair of the more expensive Image B25's which I like but sometimes find they lack detail. Is it possible that the Alpha B1 is actually a better speaker than the B25? I even listened to the new Synchrony One B and was not that impressed - especially for the price they were asking.

Entry into the audiophile world..

Hello everyone

My first post here. Very recently I have become obsessed about audiophilia and exceptionally realistic sound quality from various sources (car system, portable audio player, etc). Now I am looking to buy my first ever audiophile equipment for my lounge (home), and budgets are limited. Can you guide me to the cheapest way of entry into audiophilia? I am not mentioning any price range because I have no clue about the cost of the cheapest equipment I can get new that counts as Audiophile grade!

Cheers

Finally, at JA's

Finally, at JA's, you'll have a cup of coffee and sit down to listen to some music before packing up the big and beautiful 200-lb speakers. The freight service is scheduled to arrive in just a couple of hours, so you don't have much time. The speakers had sounded so good that JA just couldn't bear to pack them up any sooner. In fact, they may have been the very best speakers JA's ever heard in his room.

2 or 6-8 weeks?! Circulation Problem

I saw a comment on AA relating to Art Dudley's December column and I wanted to see what it said, so I started a digital subscription. AFTER I made my payment, I discovered that, depending on which part of the confirming email you read, it either takes 2 weeks or 6 to 8 weeks to start a subscription. Assuming the 6-8 weeks reference is really for print, that means it takes the Circ. Dept. two weeks to send me an email with the URL where I can download my first issue. That's very strange; it only took them 5 minutes to ding my charge card.
