Synergistic Tubes

We ran into SinglePower Inc.'s Mikhail Rotenberg as he was sprinting down the hall to the Synergistic Research room. "Check these out," he said. "These are a 1932 Tung Argon 4327 and a 1943 722A (323), labeled Centennial, but manufactured by Western Electric."

Sanyo ST 28d

Hi!

I found this tt table that someone had thrown away.
Is it worth the time to see if its working.
I don't own lp's today but i have a farliy good stero setup and wondering if this could be a way to start...

My father have a Lin 12, so I gues this Sanyo will be a disapointment, but any way, give me your heads up.

Thx Johannes

Reference CDs

Is there a list of Reference CDs, especially in Blues, Jazz and Classic Rock somewhere around?

I'm looking for excellent sound recordings that will play on a standard CD player, or, do I have to move up to a SACD, or something similiar, to get excellent sound recording?

I've googled a lot and haven't come up with the correct combination of words, yet.

Mobile Sound doesn't have a large in-stock catalog.

Audiophile Lingo

As a newbie, I am somewhat confused by various audio terms commonly used to describe musical reproduction (e.g. soundstage, musicality, liquid, etc.). Also, I am not certain that everyone attaches the same connotation to these terms. Is there a somewhat definitive source explaining this terminology? Thank you.
