First post, but can't find good info on this searching on the net. Hopefully someone here can help.

I live in China and am building my 2nd system. I'll be in China for another 8 months or so and then moving to the US. I'd prefer to get a 110V amp, but options are limited.

If I buy a converter and buy the Korsun/Dusson V8i, what are (if any) the dangers/problems with using a converter?

My second choice in amp is the Classic 6.6 which I could get in 110V.

Hi, I have come here because I am new to the high-end audio scene and I'm looking for some help on building a 2.1 system in an approximately $500 budget that I can later expand to 5.1 when I have more money to allocate to my audio desires. I'm used to the garbage PC speakers that I have and the no better speakers that my friends use. Music is important to me, and my music deserves to be played through something amazing, but I'll be using these speakers for movies too.

I spent some time listening to Legacy speakers at DUP's and at a dealer's. I was quite impressed with what I heard, alas, like anything else, nothing is perfect. I was quite impressed with the Legacy Focus, but I wanted to hear the Magnepans one more time to get a better feel of the differences between the Focus and the Magnepans 3.6R speakers.
