Note to Stephen: a forum spidering trick

At the DIY audio forum, there is a forum area that you a have to be a member to access AND..be logged in order to know that it exists.

This to keep the web bot spiders that troll for data from picking up on forum areas that might otherwise..er..cause trouble with general world issues and ,er 'individual positions/thinking'-as well as protecting members and the forum from potentially getting into 'hot water'.

Just a thought, with regards to the 'open bar'.

What happened to the forum ?

Hi

Is it my imagination or has the amount of posting on real hifi topics and/or music dried up ?

It just seems as if the aggressive posting of certain people has turned off the public. Postings on Audio Aslyum get far more response without the aggression and venom shown on this forum.

I think its time for a fresh start with a new more tolerant and friendly approach all around, i include myself in that BTW.

WTF??? Firefox issue..

Ok..several problems.

using firefox, latest build..

up until a few days ago, my desktop folders(or any other folder I had open) would show up as a sort of tab on the bottom of the browser... now I have to close the internet completely to open those folders... I liked having them tabbed on the bottom of the screen! hate having to close internet completely to get to em!

also...the clock used to show at the bottom of browser. no more.

what settings have I toggled?
