Hey well, I'm a friendly stranger in a black Sedan
Won't you hop inside my car?
I got pictures, got candy, I'm a lovable man
And I can take you to the nearest star
I'm your vehicle, baby
I'll take you anywhere you wanna go
I'm your vehicle, woman
But I'm not sure that you know
That I love ya (love ya)
I need ya (need ya)
I want ya, got to have you, child
Great God in heaven, you know I love you
Has any one heard a computer or hard drive server system match the quality of sound from a really good cd player like the Ayre CX5e? Thinking of buying an Ayre, but many are telling me to buy computer or server system instead. Mnay say it will sound better. The Mcintosh server didn't do so well against the Ayre in the Stereophile review.
thanks

Not so worried about the convenience difference-just the sound.
Would love to hear from JA or Wes on this.
Hello !! I was wondering if anyone has auditioned this amp. Looked for reviews on line but couldn't find any, except some from China and Korea.
I am thinking about partnering this amp with the new ARC CD5, how woluld you describe its sound? Darker than the No. 436? More analytical? Is ML stirring away from their house sound? I also heard wonderful things about their new No. 512 CD/SACD player, but I'm so infatuated with the analog-like sound of the ARC CD5 that I don't see myself changing it.
Hey all, I've been listening to Blue Note Record's "Blue Not Plays The Beatles" and was wondering if anyone could recommend some music similar to Buddy Rich's recording of "Norwegian Wood"? It's a great uptempo recording of the Beatles' original with a great big brass band sound and a swing tempo. Thing is, its still jazz without really crossing over into that "sock hop swing" stuff. If anyone could help me find some stuff like this, I'd be really grateful!
Thanks in advance,
D2M
Hi I'm new to the forum.
I'm a long time subscriber to the magazine , , , also a very long time advocate of what has been termed the 'high end.' As a former aerospace engineering scientist I've had the capability to usually build better audio equipment than I could afford to purchase. In doing so I boned up on on my acoustical studies to better understand the relationship between sound generation and psychoacoustics.
Hey I was just wondering if anyone owns or has spent time listening to the Exposure 2010s. If so, what are your feelings about it and what speakers/components are you using with it?
I am considering purchasing it to use with my Monitor Audio RS6 speakers. Obviously I will audition before I buy, but I just wanted to hear how others felt about it.
Thanks, DC
I was just wondering what gave most audiophiles the bug to pursue sonic excellence? For me it was hearing my friend Mike's system. He put on one of my favorite CD's (Romantic Warrier) and I heard things that I never heard before. We then went through a whole bunch of CD's that night listening to well beyond 3AM. That's when I knew I had to upgrade and started to read Stereophile and other trade publications.
