Just came back from a trip to Washington and have to say that I tasted some excellent wine at some local wineries. I would suggest you take a look at Bookwalter, DiSteffano among others. The people there were extremely nice and there was no attitude like you get at some Napa wineries.

Hey everyone. After discovering how much better vinyl sounds than the mp3s on my computer, I went over to my friend's house whose father is a slight audiophile and was blown away by the stones. I immediately went home and grabbed the Polk monitor speakers that were in my attic and plugged them into my system. The sound was pretty good, but not great. I really want to experience music when I listen to it, but the fact remains that I'm a high school freshman with a budget of about $100 and the only turntable I own is the ITTUSB one my dad got for importing songs to cds.

i just tried logging on to audiogon and was sent to a network solutions available for sale page. since i look at audiogon daily it is in my favorites so i know i did not enter wrong. videogon is still up? anybody know what's going on?

For years you've had a straight-forward policy about reviewing Internet-Direct vendors (actually, not reviewing with few exceptions). As more and more quality manufacturers move to this route, can we expect to see a greater flexing, or all-out change in your policy?

I know from your time at events such as RMAF and Montreal, that you are aware that their are a large number of long time, serious quality small manufacturers who in all honesty, deserve the opportunity to be reviewed.

Many of us will be interested in your thoughts.

I am curious ... If I were to purchase a Triode Tube Tuner from Magnum Dynalab how long will the tubes last? Do you replace them annually, for example, or do you wait until they simply cease to function?
Additionally, when you have to replace the tubes, are they fairly easy to come by?
