Sometimes products are too cheap for their own good, and people don't take them seriously: the Superphon Revelation Basic Dual Mono preamp, Rega RB300 arm, AR ES-1 turntable, Shure V15-V MR cartridge, and the B&K ST-140 power amp. They can't be any good because they cost so little, right?

It's inevitable that time, experience, and liff its ownself change us—and change the way we perceive art.

John Marks wrote in The 5th Element #26 and JA confirmed that on the original release of this Norah Jones SACD Blue Note apparently produced the two-channel version by running the resolution-limited and bandwidth-limited CD data through a DSD converter. JM concluded Blue Note should admit the mistake and replace the old pcm based discs.

Left Field Discoveries

New game. I'm sure we encounter a lot of moments when we discover something great COMPLETELY inadvertently. List them here, not just music-related. The only rule of this game is not to reply with snide jackass comments, like "Oh, that ain't so great." We have enough threads for the Tourettic assholes of the world around here, so respect: this thread is just for sharing your moments.

I'll go first.
