Now we know why rushing to pass this mess is so important...burried in the 2000 plus page bill are conflicting spending schemes...they plan to count /spend the money 'saved' from the Medicare cuts twice, once when taken and again later...

Dear readers,
I am Patrick Florio, so what! you might say, but it is only to start a discussion that soon will be very interesting to all music lovers.
I always thought we were missing out using LPs and Cds.
Something was not quite right. They have defects as we all know, what about doing something about them.
We can start tuning to the best what we have at home but at a certain point it is not enough.
We thought the same and have come up with an idea.

Hi, I'm relatively new to the audiophile world and therefore feel the need for some expert guidance. Currently I have a Primare I30/CD31 set-up driving the PMC FB1i's. Somehow, I don't have the "Ahhh....this is it!" feeling. I admit that my system is just one month old and is therefore still running-in but I still sense that something is missing.

I'm sitting up tonight, listening to the Max Roach + 4 Mercury Sessions, which has me wondering about something.
I bought this set more than a year ago, but haven't been in any hurry to listen to it. It's not that I had buyer's remorse or my tastes changed or anything; in fact, it's the exact opposite.
It's the kind of music I know I'm gonna dip in and out of for the rest of my life, and I enjoyed simply knowing I own it and could listen at my leisure.
Does anyone else do the same thing?

Question: given the obvious limitations of my system, (which I nonetheless enjoy) is it worth buying a V-DAC to try to improve the sound?
I have:
- an old pair of Paradigm Atoms
- a Trends Audio amp
- an Antique Sound Lab pre-amp
- an Oppo 980H universal player.
I'd probably use s/pdif from the Oppo.
tks,

Just came back from Feed Your Head Records, a used LP store off Morland, inside the I-285 perimeter, south of I-20 just past the Zoo in Atlanta. Met a nice gentleman, Tom Osborne, the owner for the first time after conversing off the Hoffman Forum. Needed something to feed my 3 turntables for the holidays. spent 3 leisurly hours listening to some vinyl feed off a Grado Sonata.
I'll be out of the office until next Monday, so I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas (or other awesome holiday). May it be filled with music and love.
Here are some fun songs:

I especially like the Dum Dum Girls/Crocs track. So Ramones.
