Roy Hall has been Creek Audio's US importer for more than 20 years. Did you know that all Creek gear is now made in China? Just like Cambridge Audio, Quad, and many B&W models. Just like some US speaker brands, for which virtually all parts are made in China but are assembled, it's claimed, in the US. Three cheers for brands like LFD, Rega, Sugden, and Harbeth—all still made in the UK. For French marques made in France. For Italian products produced in Italy. Etc.

Denon SC-CX303 loudspeaker Measurements

The companion loudspeaker to Denon's RCD-CX1 SACD/CD receiver is the SC-CX303 ($1200/pair). The SC-CX303 is a ported two-way with a 1" soft-dome tweeter and a 5" carbon-fiber–cone woofer. Denon claims a sensitivity of 86dB and an impedance of 6 ohms. Instead of a formal frequency response, Denon instead gives an unreferenced figure for frequency extension that, at 35Hz–60kHz, is neither helpful nor credible.

Need more advice - rack for Boulder and Esoteric

I need a rack for my Boulder 865 integrated amp, Transparent 8 power conditioner, Esoteric X-03, and later a DAC.

In terms of the well-reviewed racks, my dealer carries the Solid Tech Rack of Silence, so that's an option (I almost bought that today, but backed out.) But I'd really prefer a rack that looks like furniture and is made out of real wood. I'd also prefer a wider, lower look.

The Finite Elemente New pagode edition rack looks nice, but it's very, very expensive, and I'd have to order it.

Hello all- thanks for having me and the welcome!

Hi, I have been lurking for a few weeks and decided to join as I just love the in depth info on audio gear and boys toys.
I am from Richmond, Surrey and come here armed with a few nice toys myself- A Pioneer 436 plasma, Yamaha 5.1, running acoustic research air movers, Sky hd and a passion for absolute top quality audio and visuals..to the point of being obsessive!!!! My next purchase is a headphone amp,(portable) as my I phone needs some help to play full fat tunes in a convincing manner!
