This is meant to be a light hearted thread.
What constitutes a bannable offense?
What gives a temporary ban, what gives a permanent one?
I'll start:
Pomposity = temp ban
Verbosity = temp ban
Pomposity + Verbosity = perm ban.
Snap, MJF, you done be gone .
That reminds me of another one:
Inept and tasteless imitation of a dialect = temp ban (after a warning of course)

Though the recordings sell in <A HREF="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/29/AR20100… numbers</A>, the real thing continues to thrive. Do you attend classical music concerts?
I have now listened to my new cables burn in, and I am very surprised at the difference from my old Audioquests. The Supra's are much more pleasant and coherent, much less "in my face", but with a lot of details. The LF are very deep and round, and less boomy. It's amazing that a $20 per meter speaker cable can be so good. I don't hear any difference when connecting/disconnecting the shield to my amplifier's ground, but maybe I will when I get my new shoeboxes on Wednesday.
Hello,
I was curious to know if anyone has done any testing or has some scientific data on the maximum recommended distance a Digital cable should be between two components without signal degradation or issues?
In my case, I am referring to a cable run that would originate from an SPDIF-Out from a sound card to an SPDIF In on my DAC directly downstairs from my PC location.
When I was younger, I did some very stupid things that resulted in loosing a lot of my hearing. A trip to the audiologist recently provided me with some bad news, so I'll be getting a set of hearing aids before I'm 30. My question is, what now; should I adjust my eq to compensate for my hearing loss, provided I even know what normal sounds like any more, maybe just tune it to my liking? Or do we have some audiophile grade hearing aids reviewed on this site I have somehow missed? Thanks.

Heheh- they said 69...
Sorry- I just could help but smirk when I saw that headline.
