It takes bright ideas to the nth degree.
For what a world it would be if we could all access the internet not through clunky wireless routers and the millions of miles of spaghetti-like cables buried under our streets and fields, but through the golden rays of the electric light bulbs that are in every room in every one of our homes.
I was curious to know what others experiences are with using a solid core speaker wire verses a multi-stranded one in their system. I have always used a multi-strand type wire on my own speakers but recently decided to order a set of solid core speaker wires from Anti-Cable. The cables haven't arrived yet so I don't have any experiences of my own yet to comment on the two types.
First, it's humbling to see a JBL horn on the cover of Stereophile !! I wonder how many JBL horns have graced this magazine's cover. I'll bet this is the first one.
In his review, Mr. Greenhill didn't mention that this design is open to the rear ("open baffle") as I think they are. Also, the reviewer stated that the 1400 peaks-out at 110db...this, with an 89db rating. I would think this is impossible - or maybe *possible* but loaded with distortion !!
