I was wondering if anyone on the forum has any input on the sound quality of these speakers from the mid 80s. They are classic JBL with 12 inch woofers, 5 inch mid, and titanium dome tweeter in a walnut veneer cabinet. In their day they were considered a top quality speaker. Any thoughts?? What would they compare with now?

As someone who makes a conscious effort to purchase US-made products, I'd like to take slight issue with Jon Iverson's assertion that "... for $879, YBA Design has really accomplished something in the WD202." Granted, the WD202 appears to be a well-engineered product but given the PRC's VASTLY lower component AND labor costs, is it really a big accomplishment? You can't fairly compare the US-manufactured Benchmark DAC1 to the WD202 based on price.

Can I interpret the review of the CEntrance DACport as saying the DACport is competitive (and in some ways superior) in sound quality AND measurements to the Benchmark DAC1 when listening via USB?
