granite slabs under speakers

Hi,

I have a pair of Soliloquy 5.3 s. These speakers have a metal base, with spikes. I have a carpeted wood floor. I am considering buying some 1" thick granite tiles/slabs and placing the speakers on these. My hope is that the bass will tighten up and have more definition. Any thoughts?
I will let you know how my experiment goes.

Okay, indigenous Columbians want to make Cola with real Coca? Why is everybody freaking out about this? It's not the same thing as cocaine. I used to live in Peru and we would drink herb tea made from coca leaves all the time. It's got about as much kick as caffeine—maybe even less, since I'd have no qualms about drinking a cup before bedtime.
