You're absolutely right, Christian: I do have the bug. I do! I'm not ashamed to admit it, though it does come as a small surprise. Next thing you know, I'll begin to wonder silly wonders:
About 5 years ago I bought a pair of B&W 604 series 2 speakers and a B&W ASW1000 sub. I have been using a cheapo sony receiver, and would like to upgrade the reciever to something better. I don't have an exact price range in mind, I simply want something that will compliment my existing speakers and possibly allow me to upgrade speakers in the future without needing to purchase a new amp. I don't have any preference when it comes to buying seperates or an integrated amp.
At last, a theory that explains that I probably do have more readers than Stephen Mejias, John Atkinson, Buddha, Adam Sohmer, Alan in Victoria, Jeff Wong, Al Marcy, my wife, and Monty. According to the 1% rule, I actually have almost one hundred readers!
Maybe I am the only one at the party, but I really enjoyed reading the extensive explanations of the various recording techniques. As someone who does amatuer recording I am often surprised that more audiophiles do not "put their toes in the water" of some sort of audio recording.
alright a couple of days ago a friend gave me a set of towers with 2 15" cerwin vega 252 series speakers in each tower. and my question is what kind of wattage in an amp am I gonna need to power these towers? I currently have a 750watt reciever but I know thats not gonna come close to powering it
I would love to hear people's impressions of these 3 sets of speakers. I have only heard the quad22L but would like to know how they compare on things like overall balance, and low frequency extention with the paradigm and Totem. Sound off, and let me know what you think!
