Hi everyone.I am currently using a Denon 2803 av receiver with Paradigm Monitor 7's,CC-370 Centre,Infinity BETA ES250 surrounds and a PS-1200 Sub.The true stereo performance of the Denon is not great and I would like to add a component or whatever to get better stereo from it.
The path i'm thinking is either a Power amplifier connected to my Denon's pre-outs or a Integrated Amplifier the same way.I will also have a dedicated CD player for stereo. The components that i'm looking at are:
CD Player
Vincent CD-S6 Hybrid CD-Player
Power Amplifier
I've had a Rega Planet 2000 for more than five years and have been quite happy with it. A few months ago, it started having difficulty reading some of my cds. I'd do a good cleaning and sometimes this would do the trick. Eventually it would read nothing or start skipping. I took it to a repair shop. They replaced something called an optical pickup head (Sony K55-213B) for a bit over $100.
Hello - I'm rather clueless about this, so I'll just put it out there:
I received an old NAD 7020 stereo receiver from a friend, and am trying to use it as a pre-amp for my NAD 218 TXH power amp (KEF reference speakers...). It's not working - I keep hearing a loud, repetitive popping through the speakers - not good!
