British Library on DRM and the Law

"DRM is a technical device, but it's being used in an all-embracing sense. It can't be circumvented for disabled access or preservation, and the technology doesn't expire (as traditional copyright does). In effect, it's overriding exceptions to copyright law,"said Lynne Brindley, chief executive of the British Library.

Diffusers or Absorbers behind the speakers?

I'm in the process of treating my listening room's acoustics. After doing some research, it looks like some are of the opinion that one must 'kill' the first reflections by placing sound absorbers right behind the speakers. Others prefer to put diffusers right behind them. Which approach is right? I'm definately going to put diffusers (3 Furutech panels) on the wall behind the listening couch, heavy curtains (velvet) on the side walls to cover up glass windows. I have relly high ceilings, about 15 feet. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ten years ago, John Horgan wrote The End of Science, arguing that scientists had already solved most of the big mysteries of the universe, Has a decade of scientific progress tempered that belief?
