New to Classics

Hi Guys and Gals.

I am not only new to this forum but i am new to classical music all together, it all started with attending a live concert in Amsterdam and I heared the 1812 overture,it was awsome, and I have never enjoyed music like that before.
I decided to learn more about classical music, so I would appreciate if you point out a starting book for understanding classical music, or any online resources.

Regards

Why do so many buy into the "cons" in high end Audio

I'll confess, I got my degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition I am qualified as a Journeyman Machinist so I am a bit rare, I actually know what it takes to manufacture what I design. Which means that I had 2 courses in Electrical Engineering, just enough to have a basic understanding of electronics. However, 110V 60 hz AC power is really really basic.

Vincent Audio

In a recent copy of the Audioadvisor catalog, i found a manufacturer's name that i had not seen or heard of before, the name 'Vincent Audio'. I went to their website '.au' Australia, however that did not give a clue as to who they are, no notes on the company or it's background. The equipment looks 'Shandling' like from china. Does anyone know about this company? Was not able to find anything on the web.
