My grail of 'all 1500 cds to hard drive' had to involve a Sonos Dem.
Friendly and local "Audio T" arranged a 2 x ZP80 and controller rig fed by I-Tunes lossless and driving a Naim system into Focal monitors.
I selected a Katherine Battle piano and soprano track and
a Penguin Cafe multitrack minimalist composition to compare and contrast.
On the Naim CD player I heard airco in the hall, squeaking feet on the stage and hall ambience (but not the audience, they are German and remain quiet!)Battles voice soars effortlessly in a real space.

After some heavy rain with lightnighs yesterday,i realized my power amp's circuit breaker fell.I turned it on and found out the amp made some weird,rather strong hum noises on the left channel.I tried everything but the hum persisted.In the end,i replaced the balanced ic i was using with another one and everything worked perfectly.How can a bal ic be destroyed,if this is the right word,when the power amp is working properly ????Anf my next question is , CAN a ic be destroyed and how when what actually happened, as far as i understand,the grounding cables inside the ic was kinda removed or b
