Ever wondered how much output is being sent to the sub bass? Well, a simple and very useful solution is to buy a relatively affordable audio mixer and use the low pass outputs from the varies outputs from the (left and right combined) as one single monaural output, the same goes for the center channel with a monaural output and lastly the surrounds with a single monaural output all assigned to the mixers inputs.
Next plug the LFE.1 into one of the mixers inputs in all there should be x4 inputs fronts left and right combined, centre, surrounds, and LFE.1.
Hi there. I'm thinking of remodifying the lamp-wire-like output cable of my turntable (Thorens TD160) by terminating it at the plinth (base) of the turntable with a pair of female RCA jacks so that I can then use, or change whenever desired, interconnect cables to the pre-amp. Is this going to work? Will it affect performance? Is there any particular type of cables I should avoid so as not to further reduce the already low output of phono signal? Would appreciate any advices.
Fellas, I wanted to know if someone could enlighten me a little about ohmage. Im doin a little online shopping for some in-ear studio monitors, and I notice that even with high-end models, the ohmage variance is all over the board (some have 21 others have 110). Im wondering, what difference does it make? Is higher better? Why? Thx for any info.
Hi all,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post...
I have a 10 year old set of Stax Nova electrostatic headphones. The adhesive that holds the ear cushions to the headphone body isn't working well, and they slide and fall off. Otherwise, the headphones work great.
