Anyone else listen to these guys? I havent heard news about them in forever but apparently my coworker from ugmd says they have a new album coming out this year. I'm still a fan but is anyone else lol?

Does anyone have an opinion of the Focal JM Lab 800 series? I'm in the process of selecting my first pair of good speakers and was leaning towards Paradigm Studio 100's until I heard these. My budget is $3k and I have 250wpc to drive them. Thanks.

I live in the Dallas area and have not found a dealer yet to hear the Mira's in person. I have heard these are just as good as the Wilson WP8's..Are these speakers as good as the hype surrounding them?

I saw an older review from JA on one of their models, but looking at the graphs it appears that the high frequencies are rolled off, hence giving a false sense of softness and warmth. Can anyone comment on the engineering quality behind this company. Many thanks in advance.

I'm looking at a secondhand Arcam Alpha 6 amp (small budget and currently running a cheap Cambridge) described in reviews as having 'loose bass'. In easy terms, could someone explain please what this means?? What on earth is loose bass? Go easy on me please I'm no expert!

Do you guys remember the band "13th Floor Elevators"??! well, they were a popular rock band in the late 60's and i really love their music. the lead singer, roky erickson, went insane and someone did a documentary on his life today, which features a soundtrack of all his hit songs. A coworker at umg gave me the soundtrack and I really enjoyed it. the most popular is "you're gonna miss me," which the title of the dvd/soundtrack. i really recommend it, if you're into rock music or just to watch the dvd. here's the website if you want to check it out...

Hi y'all! I would like to know what you guys think about these speakers, the Infinity Beta 50 and Infinity Primus 360. Anyone has had the chance to listen to them? Oh... almost forgot! What about Epos speakers? Particularly the ELS 303 model?

hey all, good forum idea! all this stuff i've read online can be really confusing.

I've been looking at an entry level hi-fi system...this is primarily to play records, not CDs...i'll get a CD player later...right now I want to spend right around $1000, not more..

Here's what I think I've decided on:

Rega P1 record player - $350

Epos ELS-3 monitor speakers - $329

Cambridge Audio Azur 340A integrated amp - $329*

*although it keeps saying that a phono in is "optional" so maybe i have to pay more...
