Krell KSA-250 power amplifier

Krell KSA-250 power amplifier

I still have fond memories of my first Krell amplifier, a KSA-50. Back in those days (date purposely omitted), my principal source of audio equipment reviews, aside from <I>Stereophile</I> and <I>The Absolute Sound</I>, was <I>Hi-Fi News & Record Review</I>, which I read voraciously from cover to cover every month. One fateful day while sitting by our community swimming pool, I happened upon an enlightening review of the KSA-50 written by none other than our own John Atkinson, editor of <I>HFN/RR</I> <A HREF="http://www.stereophile.com/asweseeit/352">at the time</A>. His words describing "the steamroller-like inevitability of the bass with this amplifier" haunted me for weeks, until I got up the nerve to audition, and ultimately purchase, my first Krell product.

The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2007 officially opens its exhibition halls Thursday September 6, and <I>Stereophile</I>'s Kal Rubinson and Wes Phillips will be there to report the highs, the lows, the in-betweens&mdash;everything, in fact, except the bunions.

NBC to Apple: "We're Taking Our Ball and Going Home."

NBC to Apple: "We're Taking Our Ball and Going Home."

On August 31, Apple <A HREF="http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2007/08/31itunes.html">announced</A&gt; that the iTunes store would stop selling NBC television episodes for the upcoming season. The press release stated: "The move follows NBC's decision to not renew its agreement with iTunes after Apple declined to pay more than double the wholesale price for each NBC TV episode, which would have resulted in the retail price to consumers increasing to $4.99 per episode from the current $1.99. ABC, CBS, Fox and The CW, along with more than 50 cable networks, are signed up to sell TV shows from their upcoming season on iTunes at $1.99 per episode."

I had a dream

I've been paroled? DUPShank Redemption. Now who will hire me with my criminal posting record? I may have to turn to a life of crime and maybe even become a wire/cable prostitute. $100/foot. He mister, wanna hear a good time? Hey buddy, wanna go into a men's room and run for the Senator's office?

Now back to the show

It seems this month there is talk of having some WATTS!! Hmmm, did i mention without WATTS there is no hi fidelity, there is no realism? Did I mention you can't reproduce the LIVE event with some useless 20 W amp. But to have a miserly tube amp hooked into this adative amp is kinda retarded. Like some one else mentioned, buy the right amp the first time. If you put new tires and fancy wheels on a 1992 TOYota, it's still useless and still junk. Watts, there is no substitute.

Primare CD 21

Hello!!

I would go for Primare cd player but exept the fact that player was the best buy in Hifi choice for 2005 I don't know much more about it. Does anybody has any experience with this player? Any review?
Second option would be Cyrus cd 8x, I know almost everything about it.
I don't have the posibility to listen players in my system.

My amp is Audioinnovations series 500, loudspeakers Triagle antal esw. I listen almost everything, jazz and classics are basics.

Any suggestions?

Tnx
