Hi,
I was talking with an electrician buddy today about induction and the creation of current, and it left me a question I haven't found an answer for yet.
If you pass a magnet over another magnet, does it always create some level of electrical current at some small level?
Would any two magnets moving relative to each other make them a rotating transformer, even for only a moment?
Does anyone know enough about the Krell KID to say how it will compare to the S.D. Transporter?
I have a 20GB iPod, and have transfered 510 songs, so far, from redbook cd's to my Apple iTunes server? I'm looking at my options for using my iPod to act as my music source, so I can have a 'high-end, music jukebox'. From what I've read, the Transporter seems to be pretty hard to beat. I'm not sure what the Krell can do in comparison, in terms of sound quality.

I have a soundesign model 5991 stereo reciever. When I turn it on, there is a particularly annoying ringing sound that does not get "drowned out" with the volume.
When I plug in headphones, there is still a ringing in the headphones, so I am less inclined to believe that it is the speakers.
thank you for all of your help!!
