Are there any "pure" "objectivist" or "subjectivist" equipment designers?
I'm loving when the subjective accidentally meets the objective in these discussions. At this point, I am flat out dying to hear SAS Audio gear.
Dude, and amps too?
SAS flits easily from the realm of listening to his creations to the objective aspect of what's going on.
Can't ask for more input than that.
SAS, time for an amp and integrated.
I know I'd sign on!

I would like to pole the audience. I have a Michaelson and Austin TVA-10 amplifier. It gave decent performance for 25 year and then became unusable(unstable bias on one channel). The question is: is this piece of gear worth trying to refurbish. (Hint: the original designer Tim "the Baron" declined to offer any advise on his creation). If so who could handle this task (in Alberta).
Single Full Range Driver vs. Two Way Bookshelf Loudspeaker
Is there any advantage using a single full range driver rather than a two way speaker box? I have a pair of Bose 201 Series IV and it looks like a Fostex FE166E Full range speaker can replace the Bose woofer and just disconnect the Bose tweeter. It appears even the Bose box demensions and port size is compatiable with the Fostex full range.

Are there "plans" to bring more of Stereophile print mag's "legacy" content online?
I know some of it already has been, but a lot of it -- perhaps most of it -- is still offline (e.g., music reviews). Is it a matter of "we'll get to it" (the stuff already online has been cherry-picked)? Or is it that Stereophile does not want to give too much away as freebies -- i.e., there's still "gold in them thar hills" (i.e., a market for back-issue sales)?
As a long-time subscriber, I would be willing to pay for member's-only service to have the convenience of online access.

I have a Primaluna Prologue 1 that I'm running with a pair of Tetra 120U bookshelves, and a cambridge audio 740C CD player. I'm new to tubes and looking to switch out the stock tubes, any recommendations? Also looking to upgrade my speaker wire - anyone have any recommendations on what would pair well with the Primaluna?
Thanks!
