Stereophile Cary 306 SACD Review

In a November 2008 review of the Cary CD 306 SACD Professional JA added a footnote in the meansurements section which reads "Footnote 1: The sample of the original CD 306 I examined truncated external 24-bit data to 16 bits. By contrast, the Professional Version performed in exemplary fashion with external data.

Re: 1990 "Sota Time Domaines series 4"

I have the step-son of the Wilson watts pups. I just want to make them sound "New" again for they have a rubber surround issue(worn) and one surround was injured as well as a tweeter lost its magnet in shipment. These cabinets are over 1.5" thick and the crossovers are of the best possible quality of the time. My question really is how do you replace 7" dual voice coil drivers now? Jeeze I feel so hopeless, I know the knowledge is here on listening of speakers but how about saving a speakers life.

My Love Will Follow Me

My love for the Vivian Girls only grows and grows: I love them more today than I did yesterday, but not as much as I’ll love them tomorrow. Their 2009 album, <i>Everything Goes Wrong</i>, continues to sound fresh and exciting with each play on my turntable. And they’ve got a new 7-inch single available from their own <a href="http://www.freewebs.com/viviangirls/wildworld.htm">Wild World Records</a>. Perfect for a sunny Cinco de Mayo like this one, the A-side has Cassie confessing, “I can hardly wait until the summer comes,” while Katy and Ali echo the feeling with handclaps and angelic backing vocals. The B-side is a cover of the Chantels’ “He’s Gone,” which I had the great and unforgettable pleasure of hearing performed live, a cappella, <a href="http://forum.stereophile.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/2149/passwor… Bamboo Beach</a> <a href="http://blog.stereophile.com/stephenmejias/what_happened_in_puerto_rico/… Puerto Rico</a>.

I want my first 'real' 2.1 for some good music and movies...

Hi All,
I joined the 'club' since I would like to upgrade from my old panasonic all.in one bought 5yrs. ago at the mall x 200$...

My goal would be to get a bit more hi fi and get a stereo system that will deliver some great sound on movies and give me some pleasure when listening to music in the living room.

My idea was for a bose 3.2.1 since its my ignorant conception of hi.fi...
Ive browsed some reviews and it looks very wrong!

I don't want an integrated dvd or so, nor a 5.1 since Im not willing to run cables everywhere now.
