my God, i am a mess trying to figure out, how to buy a good system. Geez, intigrated or tubed, the difference? Krell looks good, but never heard them.

I need a audio system for my 70's collection, and guess I better add some kind of home theater, what do you guys think?

I just upgraded a few of my cables. I had Monster THX Ultra 800 audio interconnects (six channel) from my Denon universal player to my Denon 3805 receiver. I also had Monster Z1 speaker cables. I changed them for the Nordost Wyrewizard interconnects and speaker cables. BIG difference! I cannot believe that this simple and not to expensive upgrade, yielded such great results. The Wyrewizard products were not that much more expensive than the Monster cables, but are much better. Has anyone else upgraded from Monster and "heard" a big difference?

How well would some of the better receivers from the 1970s work as a front end to a power amplifier? I'm thinking of Yamaha, Marantz, Sansui or Kenwood receivers with the preamp out, main in jacks. The tuners in most of these receivers are very good, how about the rest of the preamp parts?

1. Goldring GR 1.2

2. Music Hall MMF 2.1

3. Pro-ject Debut III

I would greatly appreciate any comments on the pros and cons of the turntables.
