I was trying to read my I have been a subscriber for over 12 years. I understand companies need to make a profit and that moving to Primedia was part of that. I am sure these people look at their metrics and surveys and do the bean counting. As such they propbably know what size, shape, style etc will generate the most return (as well as factoring in advertisement revnue and subscription costs etc). I am also sure they realize that even though I am complaining I'll keep subscribing. Having said all of that the magazine is almost as skimpy as the weekly's I get.
Just wanted to give all my fellow longtime ABB fans out there a heads up on what appears to be a hidden gem which just released by Mercury Records. It's called the "Eat A Peach - Deluxe Edition" and is a two CD "reissue" of of the classic Eat A Peach album along with a mostly unreleased concert of the original ABB from the Fillmore East back in 1971. Here's the AMG link with all the details.
Recording of IP numbers in association with posts is more of a message board administration tool rather than public information. Is it really necessary? Am I the only one that noticed this? Or has the assistant editor suddenly turned pro Patriot Act overnight? Or do I suddenly have moderator rights? Can I start pinging everyone's firewall now?
With great anticipation I ran out a bought a copy of the new Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint CD "The River in Reverse". Played it on stereo in the office and even ripped to an mp3 and copid it to my iPod to listen to on the train ride home. I must confess to being both a long time Elvis Costello fan and a major Allen Toussaint fan, so this CD is like mana from heaven to me.
