Im a huge music nerd and see myself as a budding stereophile. I finally picked up my first REAL system... I was just wondering how you guys think I did.

- Pair of B&W DM602 S3
- NAD C352 Integrated Amp
- NAD C521BEE CD Player
- NAD PP2 PreAmp
- Pro-Ject Debut III /w Ortofon OM 5E [Looking at picking up Grado Red soon]
- I've had a pair of Grado SR-60s for about a year that I use for solo "late night apartment" listening.

A few weeks ago I downloaded music off the 'net for the first time. It was the "American Idiot" album by Green Day, from Sony's on-line music store (Connect.com). I was getting it mostly for my 13-year-old so he could put it on his PSP. Well, wouldn't you know after I paid my money and downloaded the album, I could not get that music onto the PSP at all! I finally learned the copyright holders of that particular album did not allow it to be transferred to any kind of portable device. Now, isn't that special?

So, as a sibling to my other thread concerning my potential new audio system (here: http://forum.stereophile.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=9282&an=0&page=0#Post9282),
I also need some info/advice/encouragement/etc concerning the componentry I'm looking at.

Which would you choose and why? I'm currently running an AI L1. I'd like something with authority and a bit more sweetness. The rest of the system consists of Theta Digital soon to be replaced with the Conrad Johnson Edtion of the McCormack UPD-1, an OCM500 amp and the large NHT 3.3 speakers. Thanks guys and gals.

Was perusing the local pawn shop today and I came across a nice looking Adcom GCD-575 CD player for $25. I was going to fork over the green til I saw the date stamp on the back: May 1988. I didn't buy it.
My question to the ones in the know here: Is it worth it? I know nothing about Adcom CD players at all.

Well I did it. The CJ unit has found a new home. The deal from my dealer was just too good to pass up. It really wasn't that hard of a decision, especially since having the pre on demo loan for nearly a week. I was simply floored by how musical this piece is. Everything just took on a whole new dimension musically. I know I will be satisfied for quite some time now. My next move will be a CD player or maybe a DAC. What do you guys suggest? Budget around $1200. Thanks
